With a compact side-discharge inverter condenser and multi-position
dual-voltage air handler, Universal is engineered to simplify system planning
while delivering reliable central heating and cooling through ductwork.
System Overview
Designed For Modern Comfort
Traditional fixed-speed HVAC systems constantly cycle on and off at full
power. Universal’s variable-speed inverter compressor adjusts dynamically
based on real-time heating and cooling demand to help maintain more stable
indoor temperatures throughout the day.
The result is quieter operation, improved seasonal efficiency, and a more
balanced whole-home comfort experience during changing weather conditions.
Flexible Installation Compatibility
Universal was designed to adapt to a wide variety of residential ducted
applications.
Automatically supports 115V or 208/230V indoor power for flexible installation planning.
Supports upflow, downflow, horizontal left, and horizontal right installation configurations.
Helps simplify outdoor placement where space may be limited.
Compatible with optional MRCOOL No-Vac® Quick Connect® Line Sets.
Compatible with Universal electric heat kits for supplemental backup heat.
