Can I install a central system myself?
Many MRCOOL central systems can be configured for DIY or professional installation. Signature systems are professional installation only.
Does winter climate change which system I should buy?
Yes. If temperatures regularly drop below 5°F, cold-capable families such as Hyper Heat and Universal are the better fit.
What does tonnage mean?
Tonnage describes cooling capacity. One ton equals about 12,000 BTU. Larger homes generally need higher tonnage.
Will this work with my existing ductwork?
These systems are designed for homes with existing ductwork. A specialist can confirm duct sizing and airflow if you are unsure.
