What size mini split do I need?

As a general guide, a 6,000 BTU system works well for rooms up to 250 sq ft, a 9,000 BTU system covers 250–400 sq ft, while larger rooms may require 12,000, 18,000, 24,000, or 36,000 BTU systems. Should I size up for a sunny room?
Sometimes. Rooms with large windows, significant sun exposure, poor insulation, or high ceilings can require more cooling capacity than a standard room of the same size. If your room falls near the upper end of a sizing range and receives substantial sunlight throughout the day, moving up to the next BTU size may provide better comfort during peak summer temperatures.
What size mini split for a 500 sq ft room?
